What is Dry Cleaning?

Dry Cleaning is just like a sizeable front-load tumble drum washing machine which does not use water. But in reality, the clothes get plenty wet, only not with water. So, dry Cleaning is not a “dry” process.

Nowadays, we use various solvents for washing such as Perchloroethylene (PERC), Tetrachloroethene, Mineral Turpentine Oil (MTO) Petroleum spirits to remove stains from fabric. All these new solvents are safer and less toxic. They are all safer and less toxic. But they are all still solvents that excel at removing oily stains. For different stains, except oily stains, we usually add a bit of spotter chemical to the stain to pretreat. Additionally, we inject a specially blended detergent into the solvent to help break up and dissipate some stain solids like food. Dry Cleaning has some necessary steps, which is as follow.

Our Fundamental Dry Cleaning process

1- Inspection

First of all, a dry cleaner in a company should inspect the fabric for any tear, damage, different stains or missing button.

2- Tagging

As the next step, the fabric is tagged with the customer ID.

3- Pre-spotting

Then the cleaners try to remove stains with sufficient solvent depending on the type of fabric and stains. As you know, stains can be various, such as blood, tea, milk, oil, mud, ink, etc. Our professional cleaners applied chemical solvent, vacuum or heat on stains that help in removing stains during the process.

4- Dry cleaning process

After pre-spotting is the primary process, The fabric is put in the machine and treated with a solvent.  In this step, there are rapid spins that clothes get rid of any excess solvent and release warm air.

5- Finishing

The last step is ironing because once the clothes go through the entire dry cleaning process will have wrinkles on it. The temperature of ironing depends on the type of fabric. Whether the material is cotton, silk, polyester or wool, the temperature in ironer would be different. And finally, with professional ironing, the fabric looks crispy and brighter.
